Everything is gone.

The world has been ravaged by the infection, decimated to a shell of what it once was. Cities lie devoid of life; only the Infected wander the streets, a danger to any who pass through in search of supplies. In the wake of this tragedy, humanity has turned on itself-- neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother-- in order to survive. In search of safety one could find a variety of threats, from the Infected themselves to the very people they search with. What will you do to survive?

Hungry Are the Dead is a post-apocalyptic, zombie genre rp forum set in current time. We are a story-driven site that follows the journey of a handful of survivors as they traverse the United States in search of a true safehouse. Events are the focal point of this site, and something that happens to a mere few characters affects the entire group. The characters' decisions matter, and the world changes based on their actions. We take influence from original ideas, as well as similar media such as the Last of Us, the Walking Dead, Left 4 Dead, films in the genre, and more. Members are welcome to suggest story events and even conduct a few of their own.
