Katerina brushed her hair back and fixed her appearance. She was lucky with this particular client, as he'd even had a running shower. She'd taken her time, enjoying the rare luxury before leaving his place with a great deal more in her pocket than she'd had in a long time. Kat smiled as she was incredibly satisfied with the day's work, knowing that if she was careful she could probably last a week without another client. Not that she'd ever take such a risk, but the thought that she could made her incredibly happy.
Kat wasn't used to security of any sort, and she was constantly aware of the dangers surrounding her particular job with the Rot and how it transferred. She had been so careful with every one of her clients, both because her job wasn't exactly smiled upon and because she was never certain whether or not they were in the beginning stages of something that would be an inevitable death sentence. She knew just how fragile everything in her life currently was, and had always been.
She sighed as she made her way back towards the city, her eyes already scanning the crowd for what could be a potential customer. She could usually find a few who's clothing and manner of carrying themselves made it rather evident that they could afford at least some of her various services. She accidentally bumped into someone as her eyes had finally caught on to someone worth approaching. She paused, "So sorry," she apologized with a warm smile... the very same she used when conducting business. Some expressions were useful for almost anything.
