Selina nodded to him, not prying at why he'd stopped himself from giving information. She could understand not trusting strangers all too well. "I was born and raised here," she admitted. "I'm one of the few natives left," she added with a harsh laugh. So many had come into Leon expecting to be welcomed with open arms, and so long as they were white and wealthy, they were. The foreigners with money and power, like the Paiges, had come in and taken over while those who had lived here for generations were pushed out of the way to make room. Was she bitter? Hell yes.
Most of her people were, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it. Hell, she was employed by one of the damn richest men in the city. She was constantly torn between loyalty to her people and loyalty to her boss, but money always won out in the end. Her mother would have been so proud... literally. Selina just laughed at his response to her offer, "And you call me stubborn," she teased.
Selina felt the cloth he threw to her and almost whipped out her own knife in response to the sudden movement, but she stilled as he spoke and finally took in what was actually happening. Damn her own paranoia. "Thanks. I'll even share if you like," she added with a smirk. She honestly didn't see how it was such a big deal, but then, she supposed she could also understand the need for personal space... she shook her head and decided not to think on it further. He would do as he wished, and he knew she would be fine with it if he suddenly changed his mind in the middle of the night. There wasn't much more she could do.
